AB OBJECTIVES: Evaluate the therapeutic value of abeclametosone
hemissuccinate and neomicine in solution, to decrease the symptoms and
time duration of the recurrent stomatitis aphthous. METHOD: After
combining both products we studied 50 patients with major aftas and
herpetic stomatitis. This is a double-blind study to evaluate this
product. The protocole for patients is to rinse four minutes three times
a day, after this, the patients can not rinse or cat for 20 minutes.
RESULTS: The patients treated with the new product showed a great
improvement after the first mouth-rinse. The symptoms remitted in 48-72
hours in most patients. CONCLUSIONS: The product is effective for the
control of the symptoms. We have not found significant side effects in
its application. We feel the product's viscous formulation is important
for it facilitates the application adherence to the mucosa and dose
control by patients.
